The Hill of Saint Hilarion Castle

Originally a monastery named after a monk -Hilarion, who ever life in the desert

After visiting Bellapais Abbey & Kyrenia Castle, I went on a trip to Saint Hilarion, great place known as the castle with a thousand rooms.

The castle located near Kyrenia with altitude 732 meters on the hill, although the weather is sunny air cloudy cool enough, look at the state of the hill, Kyrenia (city of Girne in locals) at the end of the year.

View from the hill

I always bring awe to see them from my own time, how to build something in a difficult location. A monastery, a church which also has a function as a fortress in the 11th century in the Kyrenia mountains.
