USS Rushmore in Manado

A coastal city in northern Sulawesi, famous with its Bunaken marine park

Somehow, when I took this photo, recalled earlier on the USS George Washington were present in the waters of the city of Manado in 2009.

This time the USS Rushmore CDR stop in at the Bay of Manado, Indonesia, carrying 35 officers, 356 sailors and 405 marines, and the waters around the island of Sulawesi is considered the most secure and comfortable, before continuing the voyage to the Philippines, Tuesday.


And, the surrounding area is attractive for sailors, rafting in Timbukar, diving in Bunaken, even spicy culinary becomes the main attraction.
