Liberation Day in the Netherlands

May 5 is celebrated as Liberation Day or Bevrijdingsdag



The sun shines shyly, high winds, but the atmosphere in this country looks festive, a special day is celebrated every year.


Dutch people commemorate the liberation from German occupation in World War II, which began in 1940 and ended on May 5, 1945. The townspeople came out to celebrate with, it appears various motorcade from the past.


Crowds from 12.00 until 00.00 local time centered on Stadpark and music entertainment performed simultaneously. Sweet smiles scattered, they love this festive day.
